The Coachtopia beta community

Since we founded Coachtopia, we’ve been inspired by the passion of our Beta Community, a global and growing network of diverse and inspiring Generation Z individuals who are feeding their opinions and ideas into Coachtopia products, messages and concepts as we develop them. By collaborating with activists, designers, makers and creatives from within the community on our content, products and initiatives, we’re building Coachtopia as a platform for change.

The Coachtopia Beta Community

Meet the Coachtopians

Our Beta community members hail from across the globe and all walks of life. From artists and designers to activists and entrepreneurs, they are united by a desire to drive positive change and help build a better future for fashion.

A platform for talent

We’re spotlighting design, art and illustration talent through collaborations on limited edition Coachtopia product. Our first limited edition, created for the launch of Coachtopia, is with New York based illustrator/director/designer Sabrina Lau—with more to follow.

Meet Mikey.

The artist's hand-made aesthetic is inspired by his friends and surroundings in San Francisco, his hometown.

Community craft

We’re exploring new ways to make and remake with leading upcyclers, asking them to reimagine Coach scraps and products. The resulting work will be featured in key drops throughout the year.

Designing the future

Through the Coach Foundation, we’re investing in tomorrow’s design talent. The CFDA x Coach Dream It Real Circular Design Scholarship has been awarded to 15 students passionate about making fashion more circular. We’ve invited these scholars to participate in a “Coachtopia Waste Contest” in which, with mentorship from the Coachtopia team, they worked to develop new creative uses for Coach leather scraps. Select projects will be released as limited edition drops.

Black Girl Environmentalist

Black Girl Environmentalist is a non-profit organization founded in 2021 by Coachtopia community member Wawa Gatheru, with the mission of making the climate movement more inclusive. Our donation will help launch their Hazel M. Johnson Fellowship Program next summer, giving Black female and non-binary college students the opportunity of a summer internship at leading environmental institutions.

Next generation designers.

Together with the Coach Foundation and CFDA, we launched a year-long circular design scholarship. Awardees participated in the Coachtopia Waste Challenge, pitching new ways to use Coach leather scraps. Meet the winners Angel Pan and Vivian Luo, whose designs are now available to shop.
