Soft Empire Carryall Bag 48

I bought this as a timeless travel bag. Coach has always had great quality and this bag is no exception! it holds a lot and has great design & construction.

For context, I live in NYC and I take the subway. I saw the 40 Merlot a few months prior. Don't get me wrong. It's a beautiful bag, but it wouldn't fit a 17-in laptop. And I've got two of those. The Merlot while it's a beautiful color, it would not go well with my wardrobe. Let's just say I don't wear warm tones. I wouldn't be able to carry it everyday. Few months later I was at the flagship store in New York City. It happened. One of the sales associates showed me his personal bag which was the 40 in black. I didn't take to the bag at first. Wow! I loved the size, I thought it would be very heavy for me to carry my stuff. I carry quite a bit of paperwork for my job. To top that, not many bags are made for a 17-in laptop. I went home that day and thought about it. I loved the color and I remembered how thick the handles were. I took a chance and I ordered the bag online. I will say - I wish Coach would have put my bag in a gift box, like I had ordered and not wrap it in a regular box with with Coach wrapping paper. I had a meeting the next morning and not only did I put my 17-in laptop, an extra screen, paperwork but I also put my lunch, my coffee thermos and my makeup pouch. I thought the bag would be heavy but I was mistaken. It is no heavier what people usually carry in their bags. This strap is very comfortable and even if you don't want to wear the strap, just carrying it by its handles is very comfortable. I went out of town the week after and I was able to pack two pairs of shoes, two pairs of pants, four blouses, underwear, socks, my makeup pouch, my laptop and some paperwork. I can definitely say this was the best investment I have ever made. Did I also mention that I carry it around when running some errands? This bag can carry everything even my emotional baggage. It truly is a Carryall. I can now see why and how the designer created this bag that way.

I bought this 48 and the 40 to see if I could get away with the 40 for work. No go. The 48 is amazing, just the right size to lug everything I need and the crossbody strap makes it truly functional for me. I returned the 40 (in honey, the color I really want) and also returned the black 48 because I'm going to wait and see if they come out with the 48 in honey brown. If not I will definitely repurchase the black one.

An absolute dream! I was hesitant about the color to be honest but the more I look at it the more I fall in love with it. Can’t wait to fit my entire life in this bag and carry it around😍 I love how soft the leather is because i feel like it looks more luxurious this way.

OMG!!! This bag is PERFECTION! I have a Birkin 35 in TOGO Leather and I must say I notice absolutely no difference at all in the quality in these two bags. In fact the leather on this bag is buttery soft and I am LOVING IT!!!! Don’t wait … RUN and get it! You won’t regret it! It’s a GREAT everyday bag and I’ll use it for my purse to carryon a plane as well and it has plenty of room for extras in case your luggage gets lost!
