To give back to our communities while also finding the best end-of-life solutions for our products, we donate by partnering with organizations that work with families and individuals in need. In fiscal year 2021, we donated more than $50m (retail value) in product to these organizations.
Dream It Real
Dream It Real is the core mission of the Coach Foundation, designed to help break cycles of inequality by empowering the next generation to reach their full potential through higher education. To do this, the foundation partners with nonprofits across the globe and we’ve donated over $20m (retail value) in product through our Dream It Real network to provide clothing, bags, and shoes to underrepresented students taking part in education and job readiness programs. Through our partnership with the Thurgood Marshall College Fund, we also established six “Coach Closets” at Historically Black Colleges and Universities to provide free professional clothing on-campus.
Delivering Good is a nonprofit organization that collects product donations from brands, retailers and manufacturers to support people affected by tragedy and poverty. Since 2012, Coach has donated over $30 million (retail value) in product through Delivering Good to help those looking to rebuild their lives and embark on a new chapter.
Soles4Souls
Soles4Souls is a nonprofit that turns shoes and clothing into opportunity. In fiscal year 2021, we donated nearly 400,000 items–including clothing, shoes and face masks—through Soles4Souls, helping to provide low-income communities with relief support.
Materials for the Arts
As part of our ongoing support of the fashion community in our hometown, New York City, we donate our leftover fabrics and leathers to Materials for the Arts, a program of the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs and the city’s premier creative reuse center, which provides access to free materials to arts nonprofits, public schools and city agencies.
FABSCRAP
A portion of fabric rolls and leather scraps we can’t use in Coach (Re)Loved or other projects are donated to FABSCRAP, a Brooklyn-based scrap collection and recycling service, which recycles cotton, wool and polyester scraps for a variety of end uses, and offers up larger scraps for resale to quilters, crafters, students and artists. In our fiscal year 2021, we donated 3,489 lbs. of textiles to FABSCRAP.
